Food & local partners

Shape the stay around your group.

You can self-cater, bring your own chef and staff, or ask us for recommendations for independent local providers. We can share contacts for food, transfers and selected activities; you choose and coordinate directly with the people who fit your programme.

When the season allows, herbs, vegetables, almonds and other produce from the finca may also find their way into your meals.

Bringing the land into the experience

As much or as little as feels right for your group.

Some facilitators choose to bring agroforestry, plants or food growing into their retreat. Others simply value being in a place where this work is part of everyday life. If you would like a more hands-on connection with the finca, seasonal activities around the land can become part of your programme.

Good to know

Everyday life at the off-grid finca

A few things worth knowing before you come.

Cielo Andaluz is off-grid, powered by solar energy in a landscape where water is scarce. We manage our own water and waste systems and ask guests to use resources thoughtfully. Insects, birds, other wildlife and the everyday work of the finca are part of rural life here.

The finca feels peaceful and secluded, yet the coast, nearby towns and everyday services are close by. Málaga Airport is about 1 hour 20 minutes away.

FAQ

How many people can you host?

Up to 18 people in total across 5 units (3 spacious bedrooms and 2 small cottages).

Do we have the finca to ourselves?

We host one facilitated group at a time, with exclusive use of the guest accommodation and group spaces.

Are the rooms shared?

Yes. We offer shared accommodation only, with 2–4 guests per room/cottage and private bathrooms. We do not provide private rooms for retreat groups. Occupancy varies depending on group size, with lower occupancy possible for smaller groups.

Do you provide catering?

We do not provide catering. Groups can self-cater, bring their own chef, or request recommendations for independent local chefs and food providers. Self-catered groups have access to the kitchen and shared dining spaces.

Can produce from the finca be used in meals?

When the season allows, herbs, vegetables, almonds and other finca produce may be available. What we grow and harvest changes throughout the year.

What practical support can you provide?

We can recommend trusted independent local providers, including chefs, catering services, cleaners, transfer companies and selected activity or experience partners. Group leaders contact, hire and coordinate directly with their chosen providers.

What is included in the venue hire?

Your proposal will clearly set out what is included. Typically, this covers the agreed accommodation, guest and group spaces, indoor and outdoor practice areas, Wi-Fi and available practice equipment.

What practice equipment is available?

We have mats, blocks, straps and bolsters, as well as sound equipment. Let us know if your programme requires something specific.

Is there Wi-Fi?

Yes. The finca has high-speed internet suitable for everyday use, video calls and remote work.

What does off-grid mean for guests?

The finca runs on solar power and manages its own water and waste systems. Normal lighting, Wi-Fi, phones and laptops work as usual, but water and electricity are finite resources, so we ask guests to use them thoughtfully and avoid high-consumption appliances.

Is there air conditioning?

No. The accommodation uses ceiling or standing fans, natural cross-ventilation and shade.

Are there animals around the finca?

Yes. We have chickens. As a rural farm, the finca is also home to insects, birds and other local wildlife.

Can guests bring pets?

No. We are not able to accommodate guest pets.

How do we get there?

Cielo Andaluz is around 20 minutes from Almuñécar, approximately 1 hour from Granada Airport and around 1h20 from Málaga Airport. The final approach is along an unpaved rural road, and we provide detailed directions before arrival.

Can you help with airport transfers?

We can connect you with local transfer options for group arrivals and departures.

Can we visit before booking?

Yes. If you would like to see the finca before confirming your retreat, we can arrange a visit subject to availability.
